Beck signs with Capitol Records, new album due in 2014

Beck has inked a new deal with Capitol Records and will release his first new album in more than five years, the label announced Monday.

The alt-rocker has been hard at work on “Morning Phase,” the follow-up to 2008’s Grammy-nominated “Modern Guilt.”

“Morning Phase” will arrive in February.

In a release announcing the deal, Capitol teased the new record as a companion album of sorts to his acclaimed 2002 album, “Sea Change,” with the new album featuring many of the musicians that played on the album and currently accompanying him at live shows.  Read more on the article here.
